In 17th century London, for the price of a single coffee, you got a seat next to scientists, philosophers and writers, all day, no invitation needed. They called them Penny Universities.
Lloyd's of London started in one. The London Stock Exchange started in one. The Enlightenment happened in these rooms. Not because of what was on the shelves, but because of the people around the table.
Alexandria had the collection. The Penny Universities had the inspiration. BookBean is the first time both exist together.
